Run Course
The Run/Walk distance will be approximately
5K, or 3.1 miles.
Starts at 9:30 AM Sharp in Brooklyn on the Gowanus approach to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, go through the Tunnel, north onto West Street, left onto Liberty Street, to Battery Park Esplanade, right (east) on Warren Street, right (south) onto West Street and finishing at West & Vesey Streets.
For your safety strollers
and bicycles are not allowed.

It is recommended that you do not drive to
the race start, as parking may be difficult to find.
By Subway/Bus:
F or G Trains to Smith/9th Street. From Smith/9th St.:
By bus: Transfer to B77 on corner of Smith/9th Street. Get off at Dwight Street. From bus stop, make a right on Dwight Street (walk West) one block to Coffey Park.
To walk: Start out going west on W 9th St. towards Smith Street. Pass Court St. and the BQE overpass. Stay on W 9th and walk three blocks to Columbia St. Turn right onto Columbia and then make a quick left onto Verona Street. The Park will be on the left.
A, C, F Trains to Jay Street/Borough Hall.
Transfer to B61 Bus at Smith & Livingston Sts. Get off at Visitation Place. From bus stop, make a left (walk East) on Visitation Place one block to Coffey Park.
Bus Information:
B61:Runs from Queens Plaza to Green Point and Green Streets/McGuiness Blvd to Williamsburg and Bedford Ave/Broadway to Williamsburg and Keap Streets/Wythe Ave. to Downtown Brooklyn at Livingston Street/Smith Street to Red Hook Richards Street/Van Dyke Street.
B77: Runs from Park Slope: 10th Avenue/5th Street to Red Hook: Smith/9th Street to Lorraine St/Dwight Street to Coffey Street/Van Brunt Street
By Car:
From Brooklyn Bridge to Coffey Park: Stay right across bridge. Take BQE/278 Exit. Bear right off exit ramp. At the fork, bear left and follow signs for 278/BQE West (Brooklyn Queens Expressway West). Make a left onto BQE West. Take the first exit, at Atlantic Ave. Make a left onto Columbia St. Make a right onto DeGraw St., which turns into Van Brunt St. Continue on Van Brunt. Make a left onto Visitation Place. Coffey Park is on right side of the next block, between Richards and Dwight Sts.
Battery Tunnel from Manhattan : Provides a direct link to Red Hook, Brooklyn. For Coffey Park, make a right onto Dwight or Columbia St. immediately after passing through the tunnel toll booths (Hamilton Ave. exit). Coffey Park is only 500 yards to the right of these toll booths

Tunnel To Towers Street Closures
Sunday September 26th, 2010:
In order to arrive at the race on time you must be on the last ferry leaving at 8am.
Brooklyn Streets Around Stage Area:
Hamilton & Hicks will be closing at 5:30am on September 26th, 2010
The Brooklyn Battery Tunnel will close at 8am on September 26th, 2010
Manhattan Side:
West Street will close at 7am South of Chambers
FDR South - 8am
Exit for Brooklyn Battery Tunnel CLOSED
Baggage
Check:
Baggage check
is available, compliments of UPS. Trucks will be available
for you to check in your bag(s) at the start, give you a
claim check, and you can claim your bag at the finish.
Bus
Transportation:
Limited number of shuttle buses will be available
at the South Ferry, Manhattan to Start Area. Shuttle busses
also available at Vesey and West Street to Run Start at IS
142, Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Last bus departs at 8:45 AM.
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 in the
following categories:
- 1st 3 Males
- 1st 3 Females
- 1st 3 Firefighters
- 1st 3 Police
- 1st 3 Armed Forces
- 1st 3 Brother for Brother Teams

Post-Run
Festivities:
Our post-run festivities will begin at the
conclusion of the Run. Awards will be presented for all category
winners. There will be a street fair with a wide variety of
food and entertainment for everyone.
Special games and entertainment will be available
for children, including face painting, clowns, balloons, etc...
