1966

  • Stephen, born to Mae, age 44, and George, almost 50.
  • From day one, Stephen was an optimist, always smiling, never having the sense to give up. Loved his dog Fonzi
  • Early on had the ability to size people up
  • By age 10 both his parents had passed away. How would he handle this?
  • Moves to Rockville Centre. Trip to Ireland that first summer
  • Played JV baseball, Loved to run the bases
  • Played George Gibbs in Our Town. Sang Shipoopi off-key in the Music Man.
  • Becomes a voracious reader: classics, mysteries, anything.
  • Trip to Peru
  • Began working in Orchard Street part time. Loved the city and making a sale

Senior Year

  • Becomes a peer counselor, spreading his optimism to those who were sad, confused.
  • Went to lots of proms.
  • Thinks of joining the Air Force
  • Stephen Siller

1984

  • A member of the last graduating class from St. Agnes, Rockville Centre
  • Trip to Hawaii
  • Went to Ulster Community College. Left...
  • Sold Ultimate Juice on a broken down truck that overheated summer and winter
  • Ends up singing onstage at a Meatloaf Concert
  • Began working full time at the Staten Island Furrier
  • Buys first house, a duplex on Staten Island
  • Golf. The Siller brothers become a foursome.
  • First date with Sally whom he would marry; had to drive his car in reverse to get to her home

1990

  • Married Sally
  • Stephen Siller Family Reception at the Pavilion-on-the Terrace, facing New York Harbor

1991

  • Katie, first child is born!
  • Made it a priority to visit the sick: to take care of others
  • Drove straight to Kansas City for George Brett's last game, drove straight back, went to work
  • Worked as a roofer and construction worker. Specialty: knocking down walls
  • In driving sleet, played 18 holes of golf by himself

1995

  • Fulfilling his dream, he joined the New York City Fire Department

1996

  • Olivia, second child is born!

1998

  • Genevieve is born!
  • Continues working the three jobs: Fireman, furrier, and construction worker.

1999

  • Jake is born!
  • Enters and completes a triathlon with a broken down bike. By now, golfs in the 70's
  • Joins Squad Co.1, located in Park Slope, Brooklyn

2000

  • We celebrate the millennium,the whole family, together, in one place
  • Buys a big, old house.
  • Begins to knock down walls immediately.

December 25th, 2000

  • Christmas in restored house with Sally, the 4 kids and 1 on the way.

January 15th, 2001

  • Little Stephen is born! Like big Steve, smiles from day one

August 2001

  • Stephen hosted his big brother George's 50th birthday at
  • "Two Toms" Restaurant in Brooklyn
  • Stephen and Sally take the kids to Hershey Park
